In this activity, we’re learning about acrostic poetry—a fun type of poem where the first letter of each line spells out a word. Each line should relate to the word you’re writing about.

Here’s an example using the word RESILIENCE: 

(Definition-the ability to keep going when things get hard)

Remember to keep going, even when it’s tough

Every mistake helps us learn

Strong hearts keep trying

It’s okay to rest when you need to

Let your worries float away

I can do hard things

Even storms pass

Never give up on yourself

Courage grows with each step

Each new day brings hope

As you can see, I used each letter in the word RESILIENCE to create my poem.
