Get ready to have fun with books—outside, under the sunshine and surrounded by nature! 🌳☀️ Our theme here is kindness and caring, and the stories I’m sharing show how awesome it is to help, share and make new connections.
I love teaching kids how to read, especially outside where reading becomes an adventure and a way to explore the world around us. 🌿📚 I can’t wait to dive into these stories with you. Please share your favorite books or reading moments in the comments! 💜
Love, Miss Resilience
Book: The Yeti Whisperer by Melissa M. Di Biasio
I’m excited to read my story, The Yeti Whisperer—a heartfelt tale about a child who often finds herself in new places, carrying the weight of constant change, heavy responsibilities, and the deep loneliness that can come with that life. With the gentle support of her loyal dog, Yeti, and the calming rhythm of nature, she begins to reconnect with herself and find the strength within. Their journey reminds us that resilience often begins in stillness, with a faithful friend by our side.

Book: Sorry You Got Mad by Kyle Lukoff
this story, we learn what makes a real apology. I’m Sorry You Got Mad is about a boy named Jack who gets mad and knocks over his friend’s castle. He says sorry, but it doesn’t feel like enough. His teacher helps him understand that a good apology has to show you know what you did, how it made the other person feel, and how you’ll try to do better. Jack writes a few letters and learns how to make things right with his friend. This story teaches the steps of a true apology: say what you did, show you care, and try to fix it.
Book: Small in the City by Sydney Smith
Small in the City by Sydney Smith shows what it’s like to be little in a big, busy place. I think it’s a quiet, powerful story about love and noticing the world around you. After we read, what do you notice when you walk through your town or city?
Book: I Am More Than by LeBron James
This is how I would describe I am More Than by LeBron James: It's a powerful story that reminds us we're more than what people say-we're strong, smart, and full of potential. After we read, thank about how you are more than too!
Book: At the Same Moment, Around the World by Clotilde Perrin
Here’s how I would describe At the Same Moment, Around the World by Clotilde Perrin: It’s a fascinating story that shows what kids in different parts of the world are doing at the exact same time. I think it’s a fun way to see how connected we all are—no matter where we live. After we read, think about what you might be doing at the same moment as someone far away
